What is the significance of the the color blue in “Spring Awakening”?
They make several references, usually sexual in suggestion, to that color: “the naked blue angel”, “harvest moon over the blue land”, “the mirror-blue night”. I was wondering if anyone had any insight on that?
I can’t honestly give you the answer, but if you go to the official website, perhaps you could find a place to write an email to the creative team. I wrote a note to the producer of Sweeney Todd (John Doyle) and about three days later he wrote back!- very nice- very flattered. 
I know that Jason Robert Brown and Stephen Sondheim both also frquently answer mail and email by blogs and letters alike. I guess what I’m saying, is don’t be afraid to ask the people who can likely give you the complete and correct answer.
